The Rural Investment and Services Project (RISP), financed by the World Bank and implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, provides financial support for the development of rural businesses, covering investments in various fields, from agriculture to processing and trade. With flexible repayment conditions, this program enables access to financing for investments and working capital, supporting long-term economic growth.
This Project is implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova through the Ministry of Finance and the Public Institution Office for the Management of External Assistance Programs.
Program objective: to provide long-term support to economic sectors in rural areas.
Potential beneficiaries are small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises from all territorial units of the Republic of Moldova, except for the cities of Chișinău and Bălți.
The Bank offers loans from the refinancing resources of the Credit Line Directorate under the Ministry of Finance, within the following programs:
- Investments in agricultural farms – development of agricultural and horticultural production
- Development of processing, storage, packaging, and marketing
- Investments in non-agricultural economic activities (tourism, handicrafts, etc.)
- Other rural development activities
Up to USD 500,000 or the equivalent in MDL/EUR.
Up to 7 years.
Minimum 20% of the investment value.
