We would like to inform you about changes in the procedure for making payments in the national currency which will take effect soon. These changes are the result of the National Bank of Moldova’s decision no. 56 of 5 March 2015, which has amended and supplemented the Regulation on Credit Transfers.

As from 1 January 2016, the processing of payment orders in MDL will only be possible if details of the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) are given.

Implementing the use of IBAN for payment transactions in Moldova will not only bring local procedures into line with international practices, it will also bring other benefits such as speeding up data transfer and processing times.

Over the next few weeks before the change comes into force you can find the IBAN for your own accounts by checking our IBAN code generator or by visiting any ProCredit Bank outlet and asking for information on your IBAN code.

It is also a good idea to inform your business partners of your IBAN by including the information in contracts, invoices and general correspondence. From 1 January 2016 they will need this information in order to be able to make national currency payments to you.

Please note: The implementation of IBAN will also require changes to the 1C program that you are currently working with.
