Rural Investment and Services Project stages I and II are financed by International Development Association and the World Bank Group and is implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova through participating financial institutions.
The programme is aimed at supporting economic activities in rural areas. Potential beneficiaries are very small and small agricultural enterprises with any form of legal structure and located in any place of the Republic of Moldova, except Chisinau and Balti. The bank extends loans using refinancing funds from the Credit Line Directorate of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova under the following RISP financing programmes:
1. Rural Investment and Services Project – RISP I

- Investment in agricultural enterprises, aimed at developing agricultural and horticultural activities
- Investments aimed at fostering the processing, storing, packaging, sale and other activates associated with sub-branches of agriculture
- Investments in any non-agricultural economic activity in rural areaa, including agro-industrial, commercial enterprises, travel agency, handicrafts
- Other activities aimed at agriculture and rural development
