Effective immediately, the Management Board of ProCredit Bank Moldova is composed of five members: Vladislav Garbu, Natalia Osadcii, Eugenia Gashikulina, Serghei Ilin and Andrei Zainulin.
ProCredit Bank Moldova is part of the international ProCredit group and has 100% foreign capital and shareholders exclusively from Germany and the Netherlands. The bank has adopted a German management style, which entails the collective involvement of all members of the Management Board. Decision-making is done by consensus and all members openly express their opinions. This process can be time-consuming, but in the end, the decisions reached contribute actively to the institution’s long-term prospects. The ProCredit Bank Board of Directors shares a similar vision with regard to building a team of local professional managers, which is crucial for future development. In line with this aim, all members supported the expansion of the Management Board from three to five members at the last ordinary meeting of the Board of Directors. Subsequently, the National Bank of Moldova approved the appointment of Serghei Ilin and Andrei Zainulin as Deputy Chairpersons of the Management Board.
Both Andrei Zainulin and Serghei Ilin have several years of experience working for ProCredit Bank and the ProCredit finance company. During this time, they both gained valuable experience in management, making them ideal candidates for the Management Board. Serghei Ilin began his career eleven years ago as a loan officer at a branch of the ProCredit finance company. In 2010, he took over the responsibility for the Risk Management Department of ProCredit Bank. As for Andrei Zainulin, he joined ProCredit nine years ago, also as a loan officer. Later, he co-ordinated the development of very small and small business at the ProCredit finance company before moving on to credit risk and portfolio management at ProCredit Bank. Beginning in 2011, he managed the Business Clients Division of the bank.
“I feel honoured to have been appointed to the Management Board of ProCredit Bank Moldova. I gladly accept this new challenge and am confident that the management team will be able to set benchmarks in the banking sector, enhance customer trust and foster long-term partnerships,” says Andrei Zainulin.
“Joining the bank’s Management Board is a reflection of my strong commitment to ProCredit Bank Moldova and the high level of trust on the part of our shareholders, which is an important prerequisite for success in the banking industry. I pledge to contribute all my knowledge and experience to efficiently guide the bank towards realising its goals,” says Serghei Ilin.
The new extended Management Board will focus on the completion of several large projects, such as improving efficiency within the institution, enhancing customer service and designing new energy efficiency and savings services. All five members of the Management Board graduated from the regional ProCredit Academy for Eastern Europe and from the ProCredit Academy in Germany and have demonstrated their commitment towards building and managing an ethical, transparent and reliable bank.
